Yankees take series in a Boston Massacre

CC Sabathia
Today I feel like the Yankees were making a statement. They were letting everyone know that they are the team to beat when it comes down to it. Why? Because they both spanked each other on Friday and Saturday, which made today a huge factor in momentum for the final weeks of the regular season. The Yankees will continue to roll to an uncontested AL East championship, and the Red Sox will grind their way into the playoffs, barely.
Homers were popping off of Yankee bats tonigh almost every single inning. All I know is they did something different tonight, because 5 home runs off of Beckett is not a fluke. That is good baseball with good quality at bats. Jeter took the first pitch of the game out. Matsui, the first pitch of the second inning, and Cano, A-Rod, and Matsui again, added homers late in the game that sealed the deal.
This was a very enjoyable game for me tonight because last night, one of my friends, bandwagon Red Sox fan, made sure to put on facebook that he “enjoyed watching the Red Sox spank the Yankees.” Give me a break. After giving up 20 runs, he writes something like that, and then it comes back to bite him. Karma. Gotta love it. Nothing better than rubbing a Yankee series win at Fenway in the face of the “Red Sox Nation.” Man, Red Sox fans are almost as bad as the kids that went to my high school years back. It was when black shirts, tight girl’s jeans on guys, and punk rock music. All kids had to do to get a coupke of friends, is throw on a black shirt, some girl jeans and start listening to punk music. Just like a Red Sox hat. Throw one on and you have a bunch of friends that hate tradition and class, the Yankees, and think they are somehow the best. Makes me want to vomit.
Tradition, class, professionalism, championships, will always bwlong to the New York Yankees and their fans!
