Nick Swisher and his 10th inning sacrafice fly helped the Yankees edge the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 in New York. The victory gave the Yankees a 2 game sweep of the Orioles.

Alex Rodriguez showed up big and took CameronDiaz off his mind while he went 3-3 and had a big double in the 10th to help put Mark Teixeira on 3rd.

One of the biggest hits for the Yankees came from Jorge Posada who belted a solo homerun in the ninth to tie up the game.

Mariano River came in for the 10th inning to shut down the O’s.

Overall a solid victory for the Yankees that helped them get a little momentum for the weekend. Let’s hope they continue to win these close games.
