Hideki Matsui will continue to receive treatment on his left knee. He had fluid from his knee drained on Sunday, and will continue to be out of the lineup until cleared by team doctors.

Manager Joe Girardi is hopeful that Matsui will return to the lineup soon. “I’m anxious to really see how he is when he gets in here today, see how he responds, see if he’s available for us tomorrow,” Girardi said.
