OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Yankees have signed their top two draft picks to contracts before Monday’s deadline that would have sent them back to the draft. The Yankees will pay first-round pick Slade Heathcott a $2.2 million bonus. Heathcott, a center fielder from Texas High School in Texarkana, was selected 29th in June’s draft. [...]
